About This Game

Mystery Screw Adoption Agency is a fictional junk drawer game about giving one unidentified screw a life instead of a part number. Find it a home, write its label, handle its request for company, and protect its future when clear-out day arrives. It might end up with a barcode, ancestors, employees, or its own protected habitat.

How It Works

Choose one answer in each of four scenes, optionally add a nickname, then press Finalize Adoption. The kind of choice you make most often determines the adoption outcome. Ties go to your most recent choice among the tied outcomes. The fictional escalation meter totals your ordered choices into a score from 0 to 100.

What Your Result Includes

Your adoption certificate includes a classification, the screw’s residence, its new title, and its clear-out day exit plan. Download a Square or Story card, copy your certificate, or use supported browser sharing. Your optional nickname appears on cards and in copied results. Public share text uses only the classification and closing joke.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this identify my screw?

No. This is invented entertainment, not a part finder, repair guide, or validated personality test. No actual hardware is inspected.

Do I have to provide a name or photograph?

No. There are no photographs, uploads, accounts, or required personal details. A nickname is optional. Answers and nicknames remain in your browser and are never sent to Analytics.

Can I change the adoption plan?

Yes. Back restores your selected answer. Choose it again or choose a different option, then continue. Adopt Again starts a fresh application.

Why did the screw get this life?

Your most frequent choice family determines the result; your latest tied choice resolves a tie. The same four answers always produce the same classification and escalation meter. The score measures only fictional escalation, never repair quality or safety.
